"From now on, it will always be for our ten brothers." The phrase shouted by striker Cauan Emanuel in the Gávea locker room minutes before the U-15 team's debut in the 2019 season was inspired by the Ninho Boys on the field, who made a point of showing everyone that grief and sadness have been transformed into strength and a lot of fighting on the field, and that the pursuit of titles, from now on, will be even more relentless than before.

The two victories over Bangu on a hot Saturday morning (30), in Gávea, successfully opened a season that has everything to be special. Current state champions, the U-15s thrashed the team from the west zone by a merciless 8-0 (Cauan Emanuel [2], Lucas [2], Matheus França, Mandovani, Marcos and Brenno [own goal]). More economical, the U-17s won 2-0 (Samuel and Lázaro). Two victories, six points won, ten goals. One for each of the brothers who, now, celebrate together up there.

After 98 days without playing, the U-15 Boys were hungry for a goal and opened the scoring early in the game. In the second minute, Cauan Emanuel provided a beautiful assist for Matheus França, who shot into the corner, leaving goalkeeper Kaio with no chance, scoring the U-15 team's first goal of 2019. The second came soon after. In the sixth minute, João Filipe passed to Cauan Emanuel, who slotted home to extend the lead, and the celebration was truly moving.

Despite the intense heat, Bangu's Mais Querido didn't slow down. In the 23rd minute, after the technical timeout, there was a miscommunication in Bangu's defense. Brenno attempted to pass the ball back to the goalkeeper, but it went straight into his own net. It was the red-and-black team's third goal of the match, and they still had time to add two more before halftime. In the 31st minute, Wesley delivered a great cross to Cauan Emanuel, who scored his second of the match like a typical center forward inside the box. Marcos scored the fifth in the 34th minute, after stealing the ball from Bangu's kickoff and tapping it into the back of the net.

The second half arrived, and the red-and-black goal frenzy continued. In the 13th minute, João Filipe took a corner kick that Mandovani headed in, scoring the sixth. The seventh was Lucas's, after anticipating a poorly passed ball back to the goalkeeper. And the eighth, sealing the score at Gávea, was again Lucas's, in the 35th minute of the second half.

U-17 also wins

Soon after, it was the U-17 team's turn to take the field. The game was more evenly matched, with few scoring chances, which only arose in the second half. In the 25th minute, Maycon delivered a superb through ball to Samuel, who delivered a first-time cross, sending the crowd into a frenzy. In the final play of the match, Lázaro scored the second goal from inside the box, capping off a special and victorious morning at Gávea.
