Rubro-Negros shine in the Mediterranean International Cup
The national team wins titles in the under-16 and under-19 categories. In both, Flamengo players stood out.

Flamengo's youth academy, as usual, has been providing players to various categories of the Brazilian national football team. This week, Flamengo players excelled in the 10th edition of the Mediterranean International Cup, both at the under-16 and under-19 levels. Brazil won titles in both categories.
For the under-16 team, coach Nilton Barbosa called up two Flamengo players, and both shone in the competition. Attacking midfielder Adryan scored four goals and was the team's top scorer in the World Cup. Mattheus found the net on his debut. Adryan also scored in the penalty shootout against Barcelona in the tournament final.
In the under-19s, Diego Maurício represented the Gávea club well. The top scorer in the Campeonato Carioca de Juniores (Rio de Janeiro Junior Championship) scored twice in the competition, and under the guidance of coach Rogério Lourenço, assistant coach of Flamengo's first team, he also lifted the trophy.
