Anyone who went to the Estádio do Trabalhador last Saturday (22.02) saw a show by Flamengo's under-20 team. In a game valid for the tenth round of the Carioca Championship in the category, the red-blacks thrashed Resende 6-2, with goals from Douglas Baggio (3), Renan Donizete (2) and Léo Henrique. With the result, the Mais Querido, who won for the third consecutive time, took over second place, just two points behind the leader Nova Iguaçu.

Douglas Baggio, the competition's top scorer with eight goals, spoke about his first hat trick in 2014. "It's something very different, a great feeling of accomplishment. It's an important feat not only for me, but also for the group, which helped me score the goals," he said.

In the next round, Flamengo will face a major challenge. Their opponent will be league leaders Nova Iguaçu. The two teams will face each other on Thursday (February 27.02th) at 15:30 pm at Nivaldo Pereira Stadium.
