Flamengo U-12 is in the final The Football Games Cancún, Mexico. The "Garotos do Ninho" (The Nest Boys) shone this Friday and secured a spot in the final of the competition by defeating Barcelona-ESP 3-1 on penalties (0-0 in normal time). Flamengo goalkeeper Paulo Henrique saved one of the penalties. The final will be against River Plate (ARG) this Saturday at 13 p.m. (Brasília time), with two 20-minute halves. 

Before reaching the final, Mengão closed out the third round of Group D in the afternoon with a convincing 3-0 victory over Real Sociedad-ESP. In the quarterfinals, they faced América-MEX. And they won again: 2-1.

That night, the semifinal match against Barcelona-ESP. With a great second half, Mengão fought hard and ended regulation time with a 0-0 draw. In the penalty shootout, besides the talent of the Mais Querido players, goalkeeper Paulo Henrique's star shined, saving a penalty.
