Flamengo started the U-13 semifinals with a bang, quickly taking a 2-0 lead thanks to two goals from Victor. The first came in the third minute, following a corner kick in the box. The second came in the twelfth minute, with a masterful free kick that went into the top corner of the net, but the Vasco goalkeeper was unable to stop it. Flamengo suffered a scare when they conceded an equalizer early in the second half, but quickly calmed their nerves and, returning to their organized play and possession, sealed the victory and a stunning rout.
In the 12th minute of the second half, Victor delivered a superb pass over the defense, and João skillfully slotted it over the goalkeeper for the third. Soon after, in the 14th minute, Victor received the ball unmarked and sealed his hat trick with a chipped chip. There was still time for Cauan, who had come off the bench, to complete the Red-and-Black rout in the 32nd minute.
Due to their best record in the overall standings of the Guanabara Cup, the Garotos do Ninho will play the only final match at home, against Botafogo, next weekend. The Federation will also set the dates and times for the finals in the U-13 and U-14 categories.
