Just like in their debut, Garotos do Ninho dominate the game and create many opportunities, but this time they win 2-0 and depend only on themselves to advance.

Flamengo's Under-14 team recovered from the unfair defeat against São Paulo in the opening match of the Copinha in the category and beat Chapecoense 2-0 (João Vitor [2]) on Saturday afternoon (15), in a match valid for the second round of Group A of the competition, held at the CT de Cotia, in São Paulo. With the result, the Garotos do Ninho only depend on themselves, and with another victory against Atlético MG this Sunday, at 14:30 pm, they will be qualified for the quarterfinals of the important national competition.

The game started with Flamengo having more possession and dominating the action, but they didn't create many chances. The first clear opportunity came in the 14th minute, with a shot from outside the area by Petterson. Goalkeeper Guilherme made the save. In the 16th minute, Cauan Emanuel tried his luck from the edge of the area; the ball deflected off the defense and went out for a corner, posing a threat to the Santa Catarina team's goal. In the 26th minute, Petterson made a great individual play and crossed the ball, but the defense got there before João Vitor and made the clearance.

The Flamengo youth team maintained the pressure and opened the scoring shortly after the water break. In the 28th minute, João Vitor exchanged passes with Matheus França and slotted the ball into the back of the net, putting Flamengo ahead as the teams headed to the locker room.

The second half began, and Flamengo continued to dominate the game. Ten minutes in, João Pedro attempted a cross into the box, the ball took a different spin and crashed against Guilherme's crossbar. A minute later, Petterson crossed to Jhonata's head, but the Flamengo defender couldn't direct the touch and the ball went out of play.

Chapecoense threatened for the first time in the match in the 14th minute with a powerful shot from outside the area. Dyogo was alert and made a good save, deflecting the ball for a corner. In the 17th minute, Petterson made another beautiful play, dribbling past the opposing defense and passing the ball delicately to Matheus França, who shot over the Chapecoense goal.

Flamengo, nicknamed "The Most Beloved," didn't want to leave anything to chance like they did in their debut and tried to finish the game off. At 25 minutes, Cauan Emanuel made an excellent play, getting past his marker, entering the area and delivering a perfect cross for Vitor Muller. The shot was precise and on target. But Guilherme made a miraculous save, flying beautifully and making a spectacular stop, preventing Flamengo's second goal of the game. At 27 minutes, an unbelievable moment occurred. Rodrigo received the ball with no goalkeeper to beat, but his shot was blocked, and once again he wasted an excellent goal opportunity.

At 28 minutes, tranquility finally arrived. João Vitor received the ball in midfield, turned beautifully past his marker, dribbled past the defender, and burst into the area at speed. His finish was calm, skillful, and composed, beating the goalkeeper and extending Flamengo's lead, keeping them very much alive in the competition. The Flamengo youth team didn't let up and wasted another great opportunity at 31 minutes when Cauan Emanuel broke into the area alone and shot straight at the goalkeeper. Today, the missed goals didn't matter, and Flamengo left the field with an important victory, needing only a win to advance to the quarterfinals of the U-14 Copinha.
