Undefeated since March 2011, when it was still pre-junior (under-11), the under-14 team was undefeated state champion of the Metropolitan Championship with a rout over Fluminense, on the morning of this Friday (14.11), at the Gávea stadium. The trophy was won after an impeccable campaign that ended with a 4-1 victory over Fluminense in the final, with two goals from Lincoln, one from Vinícius and another from Joarley.

The team of young champions finished the competition with ten wins and one draw, featuring five athletes from the Brazilian U-15 team: Patrick, Leandro, Athirson, Vinicius, and Lincoln, who scored twice to make it 2-0 in the first half. Vinicius extended the lead to 3-0 early in the second half. Fluminense pulled one back, but Joarley scored the winning goal for the Red-Blacks, making it 4-1.

In the under-13 category, Flamengo will compete for the title on Sunday (16.11), in another final against Fluminense.
