Current undefeated champion of the Copa Dadazinho Sub-14, one of the two main national competitions in the annual calendar of the category, Flamengo remains firm in the fight for its second consecutive championship title, and its third title in the championship's history. 

After a perfect campaign of three wins in three games in the first phase of the competition - victories over Internacional de São Gotardo by 5x0, over Grêmio Imperatriz A by 1x0 and over Chelsea Sarzedo by 8x0 -, the Garotos do Ninho entered the field on the morning of this Thursday (12) in a match valid for the round of XNUMX of the tournament to face Santos - DF, a team that had eliminated the traditional Bahia in the group stage. And, on Children's Day, Rubro-Negro distributed gifts in the form of goals to the fans who attended the Municipal Stadium of Sarzedo, in the interior of Minas Gerais.

In the 23rd minute of the first half, Piauí received the ball at the edge of the box and shot between two defenders into the left corner of the goalkeeper's net. The goalkeeper managed to get a touch on the ball but was unable to prevent the Mais Querido's stunning goal. In the 9th minute of the second half, the Garotos do Ninho extended their lead. After a corner kick from the right, Werton battled with the defense inside the box, and the ball bounced over the line for Jorge to tap into the empty net. In the 14th minute, the Rubro-Negro put the game to bed. Ryan pressured the defense and stole the ball. With great vision and team spirit, he passed it to Oliveira, who slotted it home unmarked for the third. In the 17th minute, the rout was complete. Piauí, the game's standout performer, received the ball in midfield, pulled onto his left foot, and fired a rocket from outside the box into the goalkeeper's right corner, scoring his second stunning goal of the match and sealing another victory for the Mais Querido in the competition.

"I think the whole team played very well on the field in today's match. Personally, I'm happy to have been able to assist my teammates with two goals. We're pleased with qualifying for the quarterfinals, but our goal is always the title. We'll rest and, starting tomorrow, focus on our next opponent," said Piauí.

Flamengo continues its march toward its third Copa Dadazinho championship this weekend. While the date, time, and location of the match are still awaiting confirmation, the Garotos do Ninho will face the winner of the duel between Futgol and Boa Esperança, who will face off later this Thursday.
