Flamengo's U-14 team faced Fluminense on Sunday morning (20), in Gávea, in a classic valid for the final of the Metropolitan Championship, the State Championship of the category. Despite being much superior throughout the match and creating numerous goal chances, the Garotos do Ninho did not convert them into goals, drawing in normal time by 1x1 (Diego), and ended up defeated on penalties by the score of 4x3.

Fluminense created the first chance of the game in the fifth minute. Matheus Martins received the ball right in front of goal, but Igor saved the Mais Querido and made a great save. In the 13th minute, João Pedro made a beautiful individual play and crossed to Daniel Campos, who shot across goal. The defender saved with a sliding tackle on the line, and the ball hit the crossbar. Flamengo nearly opened the scoring.
