In a classic match played this Thursday afternoon (20) in Gávea, Flamengo's Under-14 team had possession of the ball, created many chances and dominated the actions practically throughout the duel against Vasco, valid for the single semifinal match of the Taça Guanabara. However, the Garotos do Ninho were unable to translate their ample dominance into goals, leaving the field defeated 1-0 and are out of the final of the tournament. Now, Mais Querido will prepare for the Taça Rio competition in search of the title, which will give a direct place in the final of the State Championship of the category. 

The first big chance for Flamengo in the afternoon came in the 23rd minute. Victor Hugo launched a fast counter-attack and passed to João Vitor. He returned the ball to Victor Hugo, who crossed low into the area. After a clearance by the defense, Hygor unleashed a powerful first-time shot that threatened Tawan's goal. The Flamengo youth team were the better side on the pitch and continued to create chances. In the 27th minute, Matheus França made a good individual play and shot powerfully from outside the area. Tawan made a safe save. However, it was Vasco who opened the scoring on their first dangerous attack. Jhonatan outmuscled Hygor and chipped the ball over Dyogo for a beautiful goal.

Flamengo returned for the second half with two substitutions and created two good chances in the opening minutes. In the third minute, Cauan Emanuel headed the ball against the post. On the rebound, João Vitor touched the ball into the back of the net, but the referee signaled offside. In the following minute, it was Vitor Muller's turn to head the ball, which went just wide of the Vasco goal.

At 12 minutes, Victor Hugo unleashed a long-range shot. The ball deflected slightly off the defense and headed towards the goal. Tawan made a good save, deflecting it for a corner. The Flamengo youth team maintained possession and pressed hard until the final whistle, searching for the equalizing goal that would have forced a penalty shootout to decide who would advance to the final. However, they were unable to create any further clear scoring opportunities and are now preparing for the Taça Rio competition later in the season.
