Current champions of the Copa Dadazinho, one of the two main competitions in the national calendar for the U-14 category, the Garotos do Ninho continue their strong campaign in the 2017 edition of the tournament. On Friday morning (13), the team took to the field at the Municipal Stadium in Ibirité, in the interior of Minas Gerais, to face Futgol, in a match valid for the quarterfinal stage of the competition. The comfortable 2-0 victory (Kaiky and Ryan Luka) means the team reaches the semifinals of the competition undefeated, and without conceding a goal in the five games played so far. Their opponent in the next stage will be Cruzeiro, who eliminated América MG.

Dominating possession and the game's flow, Mais Querido opened the scoring in the 26th minute of the first half. Kaiky attempted a cross into the box, but the ball caught the opposing goalkeeper by surprise and ended up in the net. In the 7th minute of the second half, Mais Querido extended their lead. In a good play down the right flank, Pedro took a shot, but the defense cleared it, and the ball fell to Ryan Luka. He controlled the ball and fired a powerful shot; the ball deflected off the defense and deceived the goalkeeper, who was helpless to prevent the red-and-black's second goal of the match.

"Although I'm originally a midfielder, in this competition, coach Mário Jorge has been using me more as a striker. And I'm happy to be able to contribute to the team in this new role. Today I was fortunate enough to score another goal. Now it's time to rest and start thinking about tomorrow's semifinal!" said Ryan Luka.

"It's no coincidence that we haven't conceded a goal in the competition yet. All the players help each other on the field and contribute to the marking, which makes our defense's job much easier. We have to maintain this same approach to achieve our ultimate goal, which is winning the title," Kaiky concluded.

Flamengo took the field with Christian, Lucas, Samuel, Kaiky, Jorge, Oliveira, Daniel Campos, Ryan Luka, Leo, Piauí, and Pedro. Victor Hugo, Caio, Cesar, Enrico, and Thimoteo came on. Coach: Mário Jorge.
