For the third consecutive year, the BH Cup title, one of the main national competitions in the U-15 (Children's) category, came close. In the final played this Sunday morning (11.12/1) at Toca da Raposa 2, Flamengo was defeated by Botafogo 0-15, and once again finished as runner-up in the competition. The match was a repeat of the state championship final, won by Mais Querido just 2 days ago, with a 1-XNUMX victory over Botafogo in the second leg, played at Gávea.

"Our campaign deserves recognition. We reached the final of an international competition, played at a very high level, against top-tier teams. In the final, we played an excellent first half, controlling the action and creating many scoring chances, but unfortunately we couldn't open the scoring. In the second half, the game was more open, and Botafogo was able to capitalize on the chances they had to decide the match," said coach Ramon Lima, who added: "The important thing is to be aware that these kids deserve to be highly valued for everything they've done throughout the year. The championships they've won, and also the ones they haven't, but they've always been very competitive. They're a hard-working group with a very promising future ahead of them," concluded Ramon.

Flamengo's U-15 team reaches the end of the season with a sense of duty fulfilled, in a very positive year and with important and unprecedented achievements in the category, such as the Copa 2 de Julho, in Bahia, one of the main national tournaments on the calendar, and also the state title, after a nine-year wait.
