The Flamengo youth and youth soccer teams advanced to the Rio Cup semifinals this weekend. Already qualified, the "Geração 2000" under-15 boys defeated Bonsucesso 6-0 at Leônidas da Silva Stadium. The under-17 team advanced after a 2-1 victory, also at Bonsucesso away from home. The two teams now face Nova Iguaçu next weekend.

The under-15 team took the field last Saturday (October 31.10st) having qualified for the second phase, but they still didn't give up. Despite missing three players (Lincoln and Vinicius, suspended; and Wesley, returning from injury), the team showed its strength and beat Bonsucesso by six goals. Vitor Gabriel (2), Matheus, Carlinhos, João Guilherme and Marco Antonio scored for the Mais Querido. The boys now face Nova Iguaçu, next Sunday (November 08.11th), in Gávea, at 10 am.

The under-17s needed a win to qualify, and they did. Also on Saturday, against the same Bonsucesso, away from home, Antonio Carlos and Matheus Iacovelli scored the goals that gave Flamengo a 2-1 victory. The team plays the semifinal match against Nova Iguaçu on Saturday (07.11/10), at XNUMX am, at the Laranjão stadium.

OPG Cup
The under-20 team faced Botafogo last Sunday (01.11/4), at CEFAT, for the Octávio Pinto Guimarães Tournament and lost 0 x 07.11. The Juniors of Mais Querido return to the field for the first round of the competition's return, next Saturday (16/14.11), at 18.11 pm against Portuguesa, in Gávea. The group also faces Tigres, at CT do Tigres, on XNUMX/XNUMX and Botafogo, in Gávea, on XNUMX/XNUMX.

Brazilian Under-17 National Team
After the 3-0 defeat to Nigeria, the Brazilian team, which included the red-and-blacks Klebinho, Gabriel Batista and doctor João Amorim, was eliminated from the U-17 World Cup in the quarterfinals.
