In a national classic held on Tuesday morning (28), at CFZ, Flamengo and Grêmio repeated, in their debut, the final of the 2017 edition of the traditional Brazil – Japan U-15 Friendship Cup. After a penalty, at the very least, dubious, signaled by the referee when the Mais Querido was winning by 2x1, the match ended in a 2x2 draw (Ryan Luka [2]). Thus, Boavista leads the group, as they beat the Japanese Antlers Norte, in the preliminary, by 1x0. On Wednesday morning (29) at 9 am, Flamengo returns to the field to face Boavista, in the second round of the competition.

Ten minutes into the game, Oliveira took a dangerous free kick. Goalkeeper Thiago bravely came out of his goal and made the save. In the 17th minute, Oliveira played a one-two with Victor Hugo, reached the byline, and crossed into the box. Ryan Luka arrived a second too late and narrowly missed tapping in to open the scoring for the Boys from the Nest. The pressure was intense. In the 20th minute, Samuel crossed, and Victor Hugo struck powerfully, drawing a good save from Thiago. The defense cleared the danger on the rebound.

Flamengo was all for it, and the goal finally came in the 29th minute. João Pedro took a free kick into the box, goalkeeper Thiago jumped up at the wrong time, and Ryan Luka made no mistake. The header was accurate, and the red-and-black ball ended up in the back of the net for the first time in the competition. However, with their first shot of the match, Grêmio equalized with a shot from outside the box by Cuiabano in the 31st minute.

The second half was very even, but in the 20th minute, Grêmio's favorite team scored their second. Oliveira made a great play and crossed the ball into the box. Well-positioned and opportunistic, Ryan Luka escaped his marker and scored another, putting the Boys of the Nest back in front. In the 24th minute, the referee saw a non-existent penalty in favor of Grêmio. Ronald took the penalty and tied the match again. In the 35th minute, in the last dangerous play of the game, Victor Hugo crossed and the ball went in front of the Grêmio goal, but no one was there in time to tap it into the back of the net.
