Flamengo's U-15 team, led by coach Leonardo Cherede, went to Volta Redonda on Tuesday afternoon (23) to visit the home team, in a duel valid for the 4th round of the Guanabara Cup. In a great game, with excitement and twists and turns from the first to the last minute, the Garotos do Ninho drew 4-4 in normal time (Fabricio Yan [2], João Vitor and Paquetá), and secured the important extra point by winning the penalty shootout 4-3. With the result, Mais Querido loses its 100% success rate in the competition, but not the leadership of Group B, with 11 points won and a much higher balance than Vasco, which has the same score. Next Saturday (27), Rubro-Negro receives Macaé, in Gávea, at 15:20 pm. 

The game in Volta Redonda started off frantic. In the first minute, Flamengo opened the scoring with a João Vitor goal. The home team equalized in the fourth minute, and after the ball was kicked off, a stunning goal put the Garotos do Ninho back in front. Fabricio Yan noticed the opposing goalkeeper was ahead, shot from the middle of the field, and scored a truly stunning goal, the likes of which many have tried but never managed. 

In the 27th minute, Flamengo missed a great chance to extend their lead. Petterson made a great individual play and was brought down inside the box. João Vitor took a powerful shot, but the ball capriciously hit the crossbar and didn't go in. Shortly after, the referee awarded a penalty in favor of Volta Redonda in a controversial play. Pedro took the penalty and leveled the score again. Still in the first half, Flamengo scored the third. In stoppage time, Paquetá positioned himself well inside the box and tapped the ball into the back of the net. 

The second half began with another penalty awarded to Volta Redonda, who once again equalized the score in the fourth minute. In the ninth minute, the Garotos do Ninho scored their fourth. Fabricio Yan headed the ball into the box from Petterson, heading it past the goalkeeper, scoring his second goal of the match. Just when victory seemed assured, the home team equalized again in stoppage time, and the teams went on to decide the extra point via penalty kicks. The more competent team scored the penalty with Rodrigo, Londrina, João Vitor, and Cauan Emanuel, winning 4-3 and maintaining their lead in Group B of the Guanabara Cup.

Fresh from their return from the United States after competing in the Adidas Generation Cup, the U-17 team played with an alternate lineup, as the starting lineup is focused on tomorrow's derby at Gávea against Botafogo, which marks the club's debut in the Brazilian Championship. Flamengo lost 1-0 to Volta Redonda. With this result, Flamengo finishes the fourth round of the Guanabara Cup in second place in Group B with eight points, one behind leaders Barra da Tijuca.
