In their debut in the Carioca Sub-15, Flamengo beat Boavista 2-1 on Saturday morning (21), in Gávea. The goals for Mais Querido were scored by Schlickmann and Edmilson. It is worth mentioning that this was the second round of the championship. Mais Querido had their game postponed in the first round.

The game
The start of the match was quite strategic, with both teams studying each other. Six minutes in, Dudu stole the ball in midfield and found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper, who managed to clear it. Soon after, Mengão opened the scoring! Schlickmann received the ball at the edge of the box and fired a shot into the goalkeeper's right corner: 1-0.

After the goal, the Ninho Boys continued exchanging passes in attack, looking for opportunities to extend their lead. In the 29th minute, Boavista tied the match with a header from Mendes after a free kick in the box: 1-1. In the final minutes, David's header from the six-yard box went just wide of the post. The teams went into halftime with the score tied.

Early in the second half, Flamengo had a great opportunity. Pedro Nunes made a good individual play on the right and passed to David, unmarked, who fired a shot over the crossbar. Flamengo pressed the ball out and denied Boavista any chance to get the ball in play.

The Saquarema team, in turn, sat deep, making it difficult for Flamengo to create chances. In the 22nd minute, Flamengo scored their second goal! Guilherme provided a good pass to Edimilson inside the box, who slotted the ball past the goalkeeper to give Flamengo a 2-1 lead. In the closing stages, the Boys from the Nest managed the result and left the field with the victory.

Next appointment
Mengão's U-15s return to the field next Thursday (26) to face Portuguesa, at 9 am, at Marrentão.
