Confirming their excellent performance and the best campaign throughout the competition, Flamengo's Under-15 team, coached by Mario Jorge, won again against Botafogo, this time by 3-1 (Oliveira [2] and Ryan Luka) in the second leg of the Carioca Championship semi-final in the category, and with an aggregate score of 5-2 and great superiority in both matches, they are qualified for another State Championship final. With an almost perfect overall campaign of 18 wins, one draw and only one defeat, the Mais Querido (Flamengo) will have the advantage of playing the second leg of the final at home, and deciding the title in front of their fans. Their opponent will be the winner of the match between Vasco and Fluminense.

Despite the comfortable advantage gained in the first leg, the Flamengo youth team went on the attack in search of victory from the start. Just six minutes in, Felippe received a good pass inside the area and shot across goal, creating danger for Marcelo's goal. Flamengo were superior on the field, and it didn't take long for them to open the scoring. In the 16th minute, João Pedro tried to penetrate the area through the central attacking zone, and the ball fell to Oliveira. His shot was a powerful left-footed strike into the corner of Marcelo's net, who could do nothing to prevent the first Flamengo goal on a Sunday full of great football at Gávea.

The second goal almost came shortly after, at 23 minutes, in a true blitz by the Flamengo attack. First, a cross-shot from João Pedro forced Marcelo to parry. Oliveira tried to roll the ball into the goal, but the defense cleared it for a corner. From the corner, Kaiky rose beautifully and headed the ball towards goal, forcing a great save from Marcelo. On the rebound, João Pedro shot first-time, but the ball went just wide of the Botafogo post. Flamengo's superiority was enormous. At 30 minutes, in an excellent attacking move, Cauan Thimoteo entered the area and passed to Victor Hugo. The number ten cut past the defender and shot powerfully, once again posing a threat to Marcelo's goal.

Flamengo extended their lead in the first half, in the 33rd minute. Richard delivered a superb cross to Oliveira, who outjumped his marker and headed the ball in for his second goal of the match, bringing the Flamengo youth team even closer to the final.

In search of a miracle, Botafogo almost scored in the 14th minute of the second half with Jhonnatha. But Christian was alert and made a great save, maintaining Flamengo's huge advantage in the match. In the 19th minute, the referee awarded a penalty after the ball hit Kaiky's hand. Matheus Nascimento took the penalty well and reduced the deficit for the Botafogo team. The Flamengo youth team sealed the game – and the tie – in the 30th minute. João Pedro made a beautiful pass to Ryan Luka. The striker beat his marker and carried the ball at speed to the edge of the area, tapped it into the back of the net past the goalkeeper, and ran to celebrate with the whole team their qualification for another State Championship final.
