After a winning streak, the U-15 Guanabara Cup champions qualified for the final of the Copa 2 de Julho in Bahia. In the quarterfinals, Flamengo defeated Vasco 2-0 and secured a spot in the semifinals against Corinthians. In the qualifying match for the final, the São Paulo team entered the field with the advantage of a draw, while the Mais Querido went after the result: the 3-0 score gave Flamengo a spot in the grand final against Bahia. The decisive match takes place this Wednesday (13), at 15 pm, at the Pituaçu stadium (BA), with free admission.

"We got into the swing of things at the right time. In the second phase, we played well, against Vasco and today against Corinthians. We're strong and we're going after the title," said the red-and-black team's coach, Ramon Lima.

The youth team barely had time to celebrate the Guanabara Cup title won on July 2nd before heading to the championship in Bahia. This is the ninth edition of the July 2nd Cup, which brings together 40 teams from ten states in the interior of Bahia. In the competition, which takes place simultaneously in 11 stadiums, Flamengo played seven matches, winning five of them, before qualifying for the final.
