U-15s beat Friburguense 5-1
Coming off a rout over Botafogo, the team maintains its good performance; the under-17s lose 2-0

On Saturday afternoon (09.05), Flamengo's under-15 and under-17 teams took to the field for the Guanabara Cup, both against Friburguense, at the Eduardo Guinle stadium. Buoyed by a thrashing of Botafogo in the last round, the under-15 boys did well once again and won 5-1. The winning goals were scored by Vinicius (2), Lincoln, Yuri and Marquinhos.
The U-17 team, however, failed to impose its rhythm and ended up losing 2-0. This was the first defeat for Gilmar Popoca's team, which has two wins and two draws so far in the first round of the Campeonato Carioca. Funds from the Nação Rubro-Negra Program are also invested in athlete development. Make a difference and see Flamengo stronger.
The boys from both youth categories return to the field next Saturday (16.05) for the classic against Vasco. The under-15s at 9 am and the under-17s at 11 am, at the José Bastos Padilha stadium, in the Gávea social headquarters, for the sixth round of the Taça Guanabara.
