In a double round played on the poor CFZ pitch on Sunday afternoon (02), Flamengo's U-15 and U-17 teams had different results in their matches against Boavista, in matches valid for the final round of the Guanabara Cup qualifying phase. The U-17 team took the field first. Despite putting a lot of pressure on their opponent, the "Garotos do Ninho" were unlucky, seeing the ball hit the opponent's post twice, including a penalty taken by Caio in the second half, and were defeated 2-1 (Jean Carlos). The team qualified in second place in Group B and will face Nova Iguaçu in the single quarterfinal match, next weekend, in Gávea. Because of their better campaign, Flamengo will have the advantage of a draw.

Right after, the U-15s faced Boavista on an even more punished pitch, but they had a great performance and won. The 6-0 score (João Vitor, Matheus França, Marquinhos, Dudu, Fabricio and Petterson) kept Mais Querido in second place in Group B, and the opponent in the quarterfinals will also be Nova Iguaçu, third place in Group A. The double round should take place next Sunday (9), in Gávea. 

The Mais Querido opened the scoring in the 11th minute, when Matheus França made a great play and crossed perfectly for João Vitor, who only had to tap it into the back of the net. Matheus França scored the second goal, skillfully tapping it past the goalkeeper in the 19th minute. Boavista created a threat in the 19th minute, with a header from Jean. Francisco Dyogo made an excellent save and palmed the ball out for a corner. 

Flamengo came back strong in the second half. Just two minutes in, Petterson advanced at speed, dribbled through a puddle, and struck a powerful shot that goalkeeper Fabio made a solid save. In the sixth minute, João Vitor faced the marking one-on-one, got past the defender, and struck a powerful shot that Fabio made a good save. In the ninth minute, João Filipe took a chance from outside the box, which Fabio saved again. When Marquinhos fired a shot from outside the box in the 15th minute, Fabio was helpless. And it was a masterpiece. He struck a conscious, level shot, a ball that the goalkeeper couldn't stop. A great goal!

The Ninho Boys kept attacking, and the rout came in the 19th minute, with a beautiful free kick from Dudu that went into the top corner. In the 23rd minute, it was Matheus França's turn to volley in a confident shot. The ball flew past the goalkeeper, but bounced off the crossbar and missed the target. But in the 29th minute, the fifth goal arrived. With another well-placed free kick, Fabricio surprised the goalkeeper and doubled the lead for the Mais Querido. Two minutes later, Wesley crossed into the box, the goalkeeper tangled with the defender, and the ball fell to Petterson, who made no mistake and scored the sixth.

Boavista opened the scoring in the 10th minute with a low shot from Ganso. In the 15th minute, Weverton outmaneuvered his marker with a physical challenge inside the box, but his shot was blocked by goalkeeper Walter. In the 18th minute, the referee awarded a dubious penalty in Boavista's favor. Ganso took the shot and scored the second goal for the Bacaxá team. A minute later, Weverton made a great play down the left wing and crossed into the box. After a scramble inside the box, the ball fell to Jean Carlos, who, perfectly positioned, scored Flamengo's first goal of the match. Flamengo pressed forward in search of an equalizer. In the 29th minute, Weverton unleashed a powerful shot from outside the box, which Walter made a good save. 

In the second half, Flamengo pressed hard and had two excellent chances to equalize, both of which hit the post. In the 28th minute, Filipe Chrysman struck a powerful shot from the edge of the box. The ball capriciously bounced off Walter's right post and didn't go in. In the 33rd minute, Flamengo was awarded a penalty. Caio's shot displaced the goalkeeper, who fell to his right, but the ball hit the left post and refused to go in. The pressure was intense, but the goal eluded him. In the 36th minute, Vinicius headed the ball over the bar, the Rubro-Negro's last chance of the match.

Having qualified for the quarterfinals of the Guanabara Cup in second place in Group B, Flamengo will face Nova Iguaçu in a single match at Gávea Stadium. The "Garotos do Ninho" will need a draw to advance to the semifinals.
