Flamengo hosted Fluminense on Thursday morning (26), in Gávea, in a classic valid for the final of the Taça Rio Sub-15. Just as had happened previously in the two final matches of the Taça Guanabara against the same Fluminense, the Garotos do Ninho were better on the field and dominated the match, but wasted many clear chances to score, conceded two silly goals from corner kicks and left the field defeated by 2x1 (Reinier), who with the goal scored became the isolated top scorer of the competition, with 25 goals. The result gave the title of the State Championship of the category to Fluminense. 

Both teams started the match quite nervously, playing a very even and competitive match. The first shot for the Ninho Boys came in the 8th minute, from Daniel Cabral outside the box. However, the shot didn't threaten goalkeeper Marcelo. In the 13th minute, Lázaro received a good pass and tried to chip it over Marcelo, who flicked the ball lightly, preventing the red-and-black goal. In the 27th minute, Samuel received a pass from Hugo, played a beautiful chip over the marker, and passed it to Lázaro, who shot from long range. Marcelo made the save confidently. 

Fluminense opened the scoring five minutes into the second half. After a corner kick, Felipe rose and headed it in. In the 5th minute, from another corner, Bruno couldn't reach the ball, and defender Davi scored the second. The next step was an incredible play. Dedé consciously chipped the ball over the goalkeeper, the ball skimmed the crossbar, hit the post, and fell to Lázaro, who, without a goalkeeper and inside the six-yard box, was unable to direct the header, and the ball went wide. In the 11th minute, Reinier made a great play and passed to Lázaro, who shot against the post, missing another great chance to reduce the score. Fluminense continued to press, and in the 28th minute, Reinier almost reduced the deficit, but the ball went wide.

Flamengo didn't give up, and in the 40th minute, Negueba was awarded a penalty. Reinier took the decisive shot and finally reduced the score for the Garotos do Ninho, who were dominating the game. In stoppage time, the Mais Querido sought the equalizer by all means, but were unable to take the derby to a penalty shootout. 

Now, the U-15 team will turn its attention to two national competitions: the BH Cup, in December, and the Copa 2 de Julho, held in Bahia, in January.
