In a match that was exciting until the last minute, Flamengo's U-15 team fought until the end and sought an equalizer twice in the game, but was defeated by Vasco 3-2 (Daniel Campos and Pedrinho), in a classic played on Saturday morning (28) at the Artsul Stadium, in Baixada Fluminense. The result ends the category's unbeaten streak in the 2018 season, but does not take away from the Garotos do Ninho the isolated leadership of the Guanabara Cup, with 29 points. Vasco and Fluminense share second place, with 27. In the next round, the 16th, Mais Querido receives Nova Iguaçu, in Gávea, on August 4th at 10 am. 

The first half was uneventful and there were almost no scoring chances. Flamengo first threatened in the fifth minute. Werton took a free kick from the side, the ball crossed the box and ended up in the hands of goalkeeper Patrick. In the 17th minute, Samuel sped to the byline and crossed a dangerous ball. The defense anticipated the goalkeeper to head it away and nearly scored an own goal. Vasco only started to attack in the 23rd minute. Victor Gabriel shot from the edge of the box, barely threatening Christian's goal, in the final, sharpest play of the first half.

The second half was more eventful. In the first minute, Jorge and Victor Gabriel exchanged shoves and were sent off by the referee. In the sixth minute, Juan appeared unmarked inside the red-and-black box, but Christian towered over him and made the save. In the eighth minute, the referee awarded a penalty to Vasco. Defender Julião converted the ball well and opened the scoring. 

Flamengo went on the attack. In the 17th minute, Victor Hugo shot into the corner, and Patrick palmed it away for a corner. The next minute, the equalizer came, and in style. Daniel Campos carried the ball from the halfway line and unleashed a powerful shot from outside the box, unstoppable for goalkeeper Patrick, who flew at the ball but was helpless. The ball even hit the post before going in.

Just when Flamengo was playing better, in the 33rd minute, Vasco scored their second, again with Julião, on a long-range free kick. The "Garotos do Ninho" didn't give up, and once again sought to equalize with another beautiful goal. In the 35th minute, Felippe made a great individual play and passed to Pedrinho to level the score again. However, in the 40th minute, Vasco scored their third through Marcos Paulo. This time, there was no time for a comeback from "Mais Querido," who lost for the first time in the 2018 season.
