In a very lively classic played under intense heat this Saturday morning (15) at Artsul, Flamengo's U-15 team faced Vasco in the only match valid for the semifinal of the Guanabara Cup in that category. Needing a win due to an inferior campaign than their opponent in the qualifying phase, the Garotos do Ninho did not have a good first half and saw the home team open the scoring. In the second half, however, the red-and-black attitude changed, Mais Querido equalized, with a beautiful goal by Mateus, and pressed hard in search of the winning goal, which did not come. Thus, the U-15 team is out of the final of the first round of the State Championship, and now focuses on preparing for the Rio Cup and the Copa 2 de Julho, in Bahia, in early July.

Vasco had the first chance to score. In the ninth minute, Robson took a shot from outside the box, but Francisco Dyogo made a good save, palming it out for a corner. Vasco opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, with a header from Victor. The Boys from the Nest needed a comeback to advance to the final, and they went on the attack. In the 25th minute, Mateus received the ball at the edge of the box and struck a powerful shot, which drew a great save from goalkeeper Allan, who prevented the equalizer for Vasco. In the 31st minute, Ykaro took a free kick, and Francisco Dyogo saved Vasco, palming the ball away after a dangerous deflection off the wall.

In the first minute of the second half, Flamengo created a serious threat. Following a corner kick, Darlan headed the ball unmarked from the edge of the six-yard box, but it went wide. João Vitor then beat the defense with physical control and shot to the right of Allan's goal. Flamengo tried to press, but they equalized in the 26th minute with a beautiful goal from Mateus.

In the 27th minute, Matheus Gonçalves delivered a beautiful pass to João Vitor, who surprised the goalkeeper with a clever touch. The ball skimmed the paint off Allan's left post. The pressure for a comeback was intense. In the 31st minute, Vitor Muller took a free kick, and the Vasco goalkeeper made the save. In the 35th minute, João Vitor received the ball well-positioned, but Allan appeared once again to save Vasco. It was the last goal chance for the Boys of the Nest in the match.
