U-15 wins and qualifies for the Guanabara Cup semi-finals

Team secures place in the top four with one round to spare; under-17s also win and are very close to qualifying

Last Saturday (June 20.06), the under-15 and under-17 teams took to the field for the 12th round of the Guanabara Cup, the first round of the Rio de Janeiro State Championship. Both teams defeated Bangu, 2-1 and 6-0, respectively. With this result, the younger boys qualified for the tournament's semifinals with a round to spare; the older boys were just a simple victory away from qualifying. Sub-15
Riding a five-game unbeaten streak, Flamengo won another match in the Guanabara Cup. Playing away from home, the youngsters came from behind to beat Bangu thanks to two goals from Lincoln, a regular call-up to the Brazilian youth national team. With the result, Flamengo remained in second place with 29 points and secured their spot in the semifinals with a round to spare.

In the final round of the U-15 Guanabara Cup, Flamengo hosts Bonsucesso at the José Bastos Padilha stadium in Gávea. The match will be this Saturday (27.06/15) at XNUMX pm.

Sub-17
With an impressive 6-0 thrashing of Bangu (4-0 up in the first half), also away from home, the team matched the feat of the younger team and went six games unbeaten. The goals came from Pepê, Matheus Thuler (penalty), Antônio (2), Klebinho (penalty) and Rafael.

In the last round of the U-17 Guanabara Cup, the boys take to the field in the preliminary match of the U-15 boys, at 13 pm, also at the Gávea social headquarters, against Bonsucesso.
