U-15s beat Botafogo 2-1 and take the lead in the Copa Rio semifinals
Lorran and Luan, who came on in the second half, scored the goals in the red-and-black victory at Gávea. Mais Querido will have the advantage of a draw in the second leg.

In the first game of the semifinals of the Copa Rio Sub-15, Flamengo took the lead and beat Botafogo 2-1 on Friday morning (09), in Gávea. The goals for the Garotos do Ninho were scored by Lorran and Luan, who came on during the second half. With the result, Mengão will play with the advantage of a draw in the second leg to reach the final of the tournament.
The game
The derby started off quite lively, with intense competition for possession. In the 15th minute, Mengão opened the scoring! Pedrinho delivered a beautiful pass to Lorran, who beat the ball with speed, dribbled past the goalkeeper, and tapped it in to score Flamengo's first goal: 1-0.
After the goal, the Ninho Boys continued to attack, looking to extend their lead. In the 24th minute, Pedrinho received the ball in midfield and took a shot. The black and white goalkeeper cleared it for a corner. The Mais Querido went into halftime with the lead.
In the second half, Botafogo came back a little stronger and managed to tie the match with Miguel in the 18th minute: 1-1. But Mengão reacted quickly and scored the second in the 20th minute! Bill made a good play on the right side of the area and rolled the ball back, the black and white defense headed it and the ball fell to Luan, who just pushed it into the goal: 2-1.
In the final stretch of the classic, the Garotos do Ninho knew how to manage the result and left the field with the victory, taking the advantage of the draw to the second game of the semifinals.
Next appointment
Rubro-Negro returns to the field next Saturday (17) to face Botafogo again, at 10 am, at CEFAT, for the second game of the semifinals of the Copa Rio Sub-15.
