In a classic match played this Saturday morning (07) in Gávea, Flamengo's Under-15 team, led by coach Mário Jorge, defeated Vasco 2-1 (Oliveira and Ryan Luka) and maintained a 100% record in the Taça Guanabara, the first round of the State Championship in the category. The duel was very balanced and with few goal chances in the first half. In the second half, the Garotos do Ninho managed to impose themselves and opened a 2-0 lead, conceding a goal in stoppage time. In the next round, Mais Querido faces Nova Iguaçu away from home, on the 14th, at 9 am.

The first half was very disjointed and had very few scoring chances. At 15 minutes, Ryan Luka carried the ball through the middle and shot with his left foot, but the ball went wide without posing much danger to goalkeeper Cadu. At 25 minutes, Diego tried a long-range shot. The ball deflected off the defense and fell to Daniel Campos, who shot powerfully from the edge of the area over the Vasco goal. Vasco had their first dangerous attack at 27 minutes. Mateus Brun tried a shot from the edge of the box, and goalkeeper Christian made a phenomenal save, parrying the ball for a corner. In the next play, Ryan Luka entered the area and unleashed a powerful shot. The ball grazed Cadu and hit the post. 

The second half seemed to have started as evenly as the first had ended, but the Flamengo youth team managed to impose themselves and opened the scoring after seven minutes. Following a cross from Oliveira, Vasco's right-back Luiz Henrique tried to clear the ball but misjudged it, putting it into his own net. Despite this, the referee awarded the goal to Oliveira. Ten minutes later, Flamengo extended their lead. Oliveira advanced down the right wing and delivered a perfect cross for Ryan Luka, who volleyed it into the back of the net, giving Cadu no chance to save. In stoppage time, in the final play of the game, Vasco pulled one back through Juan. Flamengo secured their second victory in two games in the competition (having defeated Bonsucesso 3-1 in their opening match).

"Thank God I was able to help the team with a goal and an assist. It was a very important victory in a direct confrontation against a great rival. We need to maintain this same momentum throughout the competition to achieve our goal, which is to be champions," said Oliveira.

In a match valid for the third round of the Guanabara Cup Under-17, Flamengo had more possession of the ball and fought hard throughout the game, but failed to break through Vasco's defense and saw the opponent be clinical and score on practically every chance they created throughout the 90 minutes. The final score of 4-0 in favor of Vasco, with goals from Figueiredo, Brasília and two from Talles, leaves Rubro-Negro standing on five points earned in three games (one win, one loss and one draw with a win on penalties and a bonus point), and makes a victory against Nova Iguaçu next Saturday (14) at 11 am very important, in a match that will be played away from home.
