In a match held this Saturday morning (14) in Gávea, Flamengo's U-15 team hosted Vasco. The classic was valid for the semifinal of the Taça Rio in that category, and was a true final for both teams, forced to win the first leg to dispute the final of the Campeonato Carioca against Fluminense, champion of the Taça Guanabara. Infinitely superior throughout the game, the Garotos do Ninho won without any difficulty 3-0 (Lázaro [2] and Samuel), a score that could have been even higher if not for the many missed chances. Now, the Mais Querido will face Fluminense in the grand final of the Taça Rio, in two games, played in the coming weekends, and with the advantage of deciding at home, having had the best campaign in the qualifying phase. The Mais Querido needs to be the champion of the first leg to force two more games, already counting for the final of the Campeonato Carioca, again against Fluminense.

In the fifth minute, Samuel was fouled on the edge of the box. Reinier took a powerful shot, and the ball sailed just wide of goalkeeper Carlos Eduardo's left corner. Both teams looked nervous on the field, making many poor passes in the middle. But Flamengo was the better team, opening the scoring in the 5th minute. After a free kick in the box, Samuel collected the rebound and hit a beautiful first-time shot into the top corner, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance of stopping it, who only went for the ball to get in the picture. Vasco created a threat in the 14th minute, with a dangerous shot from outside the box by Edvelton. Vasco extended their lead in the 18th minute with a beautiful triangulation that confused the opposing defense. Reinier passed the ball behind the defender to Samuel. He consciously passed it to Lázaro, who, perfectly positioned inside the box, struck a powerful first-time shot to find the net again.

In the 32nd minute, another excellent attacking move by the Boys from the Nest nearly resulted in a third goal. Samuel dribbled past the defender and passed to Reinier, who chipped the ball back, surprising his defenders. Samuel cut inside and chipped the ball over goalkeeper Carlos Eduardo, perfectly placed for Dedé, who chested it home. But the linesman flagged for offside and disallowed the beautiful play. Reinier then left Samuel one-on-one with the goalkeeper, but his shot flew just wide of the goalkeeper's left post. The Mais Querido (Most Beloved) were far superior on the field, but they missed numerous chances to extend their lead. In the 38th minute, Reinier passed to Samuel, who attempted to chip the ball over the goalkeeper. Carlos Eduardo made a great save, preventing the goal, and the rebound found Reinier offside. 

The Red-Blacks started the second half much like they had finished the first: much better on the field and pressing their opponents. In the sixth minute, Lázaro struck a well-placed shot from the edge of the box and nearly scored the third, which didn't take long to arrive. In the 6th minute, Reinier passed to Lázaro, who chipped the ball over the goalkeeper and scored another beautiful goal, giving the Garotos do Ninho even more confidence in the derby, who simply held onto their lead until the final whistle. In the last minute, Reinier had the chance to score the fourth with a penalty kick, which hit the post.
