Overwhelming! Mengão's U-16 team is in the final of the Dubai International Championship, considered the world championship for the category. Seeking their second title, the "Garotos do Ninho" thrashed Shabab Al-Ahli, the former club of star player Everton Ribeiro, 10-0 at Rashed Stadium. Ryan Luka (4), João Pedro (2), Wiverson, Arthur, Daniel Campos, and Pedro scored in the victory. In the grand final, on Friday (19), at 11 am, Mengão will face AlHilal, who defeated Atlético de Madrid 4-1.

The Red-Blacks' triumph began early. Seven minutes into the first half, João Pedro recovered a pass on the left and crossed into the box. Ryan slotted it home. Late in the first half, the Boys from the Nest took off with two more goals. In the 7th minute, Victor Hugo passed over the defense to Ryan, who slotted it into the left corner to make it 38-2. Seven minutes later, it was João Pedro's turn to unleash a powerful shot, scoring the third for the team from Gávea.

In the second half, Flamengo dominated completely, scoring seven goals. In the second minute, Ryan received a cross and headed in Mengão's fourth. Wiverson then beat the goalkeeper with a beautiful shot to extend the lead. Ryan scored the sixth goal for the Garotos do Ninho, having scored four times in the match. 

Flamengo looked like it would slow down, but there were still goals to come. In the 31st minute, Wiverson received a pass from Arthur on the right and crossed for Daniel Campos to turn and score the seventh. Four minutes later, João Pedro took advantage of a defensive error, dribbled past the goalkeeper, and pushed the ball into the empty net. In the 38th minute, Werton advanced quickly and passed to Arthur, who tapped it into the far corner. The Rubro-Negro's rout was capped off with a beautiful goal from Pedro.
