Just over a year after defeating Real Madrid in the Dubai International Championship final and becoming undefeated world champions, Flamengo's U-16 category once again faced the giant of world football. And won again! On the morning of this Friday (7), in a match that marked the teams' debut at the Puskás-Suzuki Kupa, in Hungary, the Garotos do Ninho, led by coach Ramon Lima (who in 2018 also led the victory over the Spanish team and the world title in Dubai), maintained their dominance in the match and defeated Real Madrid 1-0 (Wiverson). With the first three points guaranteed in the international competition, the Mais Querido returns to the field this Saturday (08), when they face the Hungarians from Budapest Honved, at 11:15 am (Brasília time).

Flamengo dominated from the opening whistle and created their first chance just five minutes in, with a fine solo effort by Wiverson, who beat three defenders and fired a low shot that goalkeeper Lisardo Sanchez made a good save. The pressure imposed throughout the first half paid off for Flamengo in the 29th minute. Daniel Campos chipped a beautiful ball over the defense and found Wiverson well positioned inside the box. Flamengo's top scorer of the season tried twice before finding the back of the net and opening the scoring for the "Garo do Ninho" before halftime.

In the second half, Flamengo narrowly avoided extending their lead early on. Two minutes in, Ryan Luka exchanged passes with Daniel Campos and fired a shot that Lisardo Sanchez saved. A minute later, Wiverson passed to João Pedro, whose shot was blocked by the defense. In the 12th minute, João Pedro passed to Wiverson, who misstepped and missed a good opportunity to score the second. But he didn't make a mistake. Controlling the action throughout the match, Flamengo didn't come under pressure, managed their lead well, and defeated Real Madrid once again.
