Game
Early in the game, Tallyson curled a beautiful ball and crossed. Vasco's defense poorly cleared the ball, and Guilherme crossed for Pablo to shoot, but it was blocked. The game was relatively free of dangerous chances until Léo Mannetti made a good save in the 27th minute, but the rebound gave Vasco the lead.
In the 32nd minute, Joshua was fouled by Italo. The ball deflected off the wall and went out for a corner. Joshua took the corner kick, and Yago headed it wide.
Early in the second half, Guilherme sent a ball into Vasco's box, and Alan Santos shot, but the goalkeeper made a good save. Then, in the 9th minute, Vasco doubled their lead.
Joshua took a corner kick in the 20th minute, and Fred fired over the bar. Then, in the 30th minute, Kayke made a good run down the right and crossed. Bidu set up Camargo for a bicycle kick, but the ball went over the opposing defense.
Late in the match, Joshua passed to Talysson, who fired a powerful shot near the opposing goal. It was Flamengo's last chance to close the gap. The referee blew the whistle, and the match ended 2-0 for the opposing team.

Flamengo faces Vasco again, in the second leg of the Guilherme Embry 2023, at the Nivaldo Pereira stadium.
