Flamengo's under-16 (youth) team will debut in the Havan/SC Cup this Friday (03.12). The competition, which is in its 10th edition, will bring together 40 clubs from nine different states. The Rio de Janeiro-based team is in group B, alongside Santos (SP), Gama (DF), Caxias (PR) and Cuiabá (MT).

Flamengo's first match will be against Gama, at 15 pm, at Arena Joinville. Afterwards, Rubro-negro will face Caxias, on Sunday (05.12), Cuiabá, on Monday (06.12), and Santos, on Tuesday (07.12), all at 17 pm, at the same location.

It's worth noting that the event organizers will not charge admission to any matches. They do, however, ask that anyone who wishes to help can bring a kilo of non-perishable food, which will be donated to charities.

The Havan/SC Cup will be played in four stages. In the first, five teams, divided into eight groups, compete for a spot in the second stage. No draws will be allowed in the competition. If they do occur, penalty kicks will be held. However, in this format, the winner will receive two points and the loser one point. If the victory is achieved in normal time, the winner will receive the usual three points.

After the group stage, the knockout stage will begin. If they advance, Flamengo will face the top-place team from Group A, Corinthians, Botafogo, Joinville (SC), Paraná (PR), and Rondonópolis (MT).
