On Saturday morning (12), at CT Vale das Laranjeiras, in Xerém, Flamengo took to the field for another double round of the Copa Rio against Fluminense. Starting the day of classic, the U-15 team led by coach Leonardo Cherede, secured a 1-1 draw away from home. Lorran scored the red-black goal in the first half. Soon after, it was the turn of the red-black U-16 team, coached by Leo Ramos, to enter the field and beat the tricolor 1-0. Italo Gomes scored the winning goal for the red-black team right at the beginning of the second half.

U-15 remains undefeated in the competition

After winning their first three matches, Flamengo's U-15s drew 1-1 with Fluminense. Lorran scored the red-and-black goal in the 25th minute of the first half. In the second half, Fluminense grew into the match, forcing goalkeeper Alysson into some great saves, and was the red-and-black's best player on the pitch.

In the final minutes, the Tricolor team scored the equalizer. With the result, the Mais Querido remained undefeated with ten points in four games and remained the sole leader of the competition, well on track to qualify for the next round.

U-16s secure an important away win

Soon after, the Under-16 team, which has been representing Rubro-Negro in the Under-17 Rio Cup, entered the field and defeated the Laranjeiras team 1-0, with Italo Gomes scoring the winning goal.

In the first half, the game was fairly even, with intense competition for possession. The red-and-black team tried to attack, but found Fluminense's defense tightly closed, and as a result, created few opportunities.

Four minutes into the second half, Mengão opened the scoring with Italo Gomes, following a fine assist from Lucas Taba. Flamengo goalkeeper Gustavo made some excellent saves, keeping Flamengo ahead. In the closing stages, the Boys of the Nest managed the result well and emerged victorious.

With the result, Mais Querido is currently in second place with eight points and also remained undefeated in the tournament.
