Under-16s close the first round of the Guilherme Embry tournament with a rout over Pscinão de Ramos
By Nathan Mello - inThe first round of the Guilherme Embry U-16 Tournament came to an end this Wednesday (11), and the Garotos do Ninho did well by beating Pscinão de Ramos 5-0, at the Leônidas da Silva Stadium, in Bonsucesso. Felipinho (2), Hugo, Vinicius and Mayquinho scored the goals for the Rubro-Negro in the match. With 23 points, Fla finished the round in second place, two less than Botafogo, who were declared champions of this phase. The U-16 team returns to the field on August 01, when they go to the Ficaira de Melo Stadium, in São Cristóvão, to face Olaria.
The game:
From the first minute of the match, Flamengo imposed its style of play, pressing deep into the opponent's half without giving much space. Despite a strong performance, the score was only opened in the 39th minute by Hugo.
Less than five minutes into the second half, Mengão began to score. In the third minute, Vinicius scored. In the fifth, Mayquinho extended the lead to 3-5.
With the score tight, the Ninho Boys dominated the match, and many chances were missed. Towards the end of the match, Felipinho's goalscoring instincts took over. In the 29th minute, he scored the fourth goal for Flamengo. The referee was already ready to end the match when the number 11 scored his second, finalizing the score. Flamengo 5-0, Ramos's Pscinão.
