A rout! Seeking their second world championship title, the U-16 team debuted with a 4-0 victory over Atlético de Madrid in the International Championship this Thursday in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Oliveira, João Pedro, Richard, and Ryan Luka scored for the "Garotos do Ninho" in a match marked by the Rubro-Negro's dominance and offensive effectiveness.

The opening moments of the match saw Flamengo pressuring the attack. Just eight minutes in, due to a blunder by Atlético Madrid's defense, Ryan Luka found himself one-on-one, shot into the corner, and the opposing goalkeeper made a fine save. The Boys from the Nest were inspired and creating some good plays. In the 16th minute, it was Victor Hugo's turn to almost score for Mengão!

Flamengo's first goal came in the 33rd minute. In a swift attack, Daniel received the ball in the box, failed to control it, and, on the rebound, Oliveira crossed the ball. The goalkeeper saved it, and Flamengo opened the scoring: 1-0. In complete control of the match, the Garotos do Ninho extended their lead with a beautiful goal in the 41st minute. Victor Hugo found João Pedro in a great position. The forward burst into the box and finished perfectly to make it 2-0.

The second half began with a stunning goal. In the seventh minute, João Pedro found Richard well on the left. The left-back burst into the box, fired a shot over the bar, and scored the third for Mais Querido.

With the score quite favorable, coach Mario Jorge made changes to the Rio team. Arthur Lessa, Léo, Pedrinho, Nicollas, and Werton replaced Vitor Muller, Richard, Vitinho, Kayque, and Oliveira, respectively. Atlético Madrid tried to close the gap, but goalkeeper Hugo stopped them.

With the victory assured, Flamengo closed the scoring late. Werton burst into the box from the left and was brought down. Ryan Luka scored the penalty kick with skill, securing the rout: 4-0 for the Ninho Boys!

Flamengo's next opponent will be Al-Nasr (United Arab Emirates) on Saturday (13). Rubro-Negro closes its participation in the group stage facing Hatta Club (United Arab Emirates), on Monday (15). In the other group, Borussia Dortmund (Germany), Shabab Al Ahli (United Arab Emirates), Al Wasl (United Arab Emirates), and Al Hilal (Saudi Arabia) compete for the two spots. The top two teams in each group will face each other in the semifinals.
