U-16 concedes late goal and misses out on Verona Soccer Cup semi-final
Last-minute defeat to Juventus (ITA) eliminates team from competition
By Ian Sena - inA goal conceded in the last minute of the duel against Juventus (Italy) in a match played on Sunday afternoon (29) at the Grezzana Stadium took away the chance for the Garotos do Ninho to fight for another international title.

After being defeated by Red Bull Salzburg (Austria) 1-0 in the debut and beating Chievo Verona (Italy) 2-0 in the second round, the Mais Querido U-16 team, which recently won the Dubai Tournament undefeated, defeating Borussia Dortmund (Germany) in the semi-final and Real Madrid (Spain) in the final, went into the decisive game of the 29th Verona Soccer Cup against Juventus (Italy) needing only a draw to qualify for the semi-finals of the competition.
In a very balanced and equal match, Rubro-Negro was going to secure a place in the tournament's next round, but a goal from the Italian team in the last minute of the duel took away Flamengo's chances of qualifying, which finished the competition in third place in Group B.
After landing in Rio de Janeiro, the Ninho Boys will return to training at Ninho do Urubu in preparation for the start of the Guilherme Embry Tournament, the state championship for this category. The 2017 champions will be competing for their second title in the competition.
