In a fourth-round match of the Guilherme Embry Tournament's second leg, played this Wednesday morning in Gávea, Flamengo's U-16 team was defeated by Fluminense 3-1 (Gabriel Borsatto). The unfavorable result takes Flamengo's lead in the second leg, but leaves the "Garotos do Ninho" with a strong chance of qualifying for the final triangle based on overall points throughout the competition. Now, "Mais Querido" is three points behind Fluminense in the second leg standings, but maintains a four-point lead in the overall standings. In the next round, Flamengo hosts Nova Iguaçu on the 29th at 9 a.m. in Gávea.

The derby started very evenly with no scoring chances. In the first, in the 14th minute, Fluminense opened the scoring with Miguel, following a penalty conceded by goalkeeper Bernardo, which he narrowly avoided saving. Flamengo went on the attack, looking for an equalizer in the first half. In the 22nd minute, Samuel took a chance from outside the box, but Marcelo made a solid save. In the 25th minute, it was Marcos Felipe's turn to shoot from mid-range. Marcelo slammed the ball home, and Weverton almost got there in time to tap it into the back of the net, but was blocked by the defense, which cleared the danger.

Flamengo still had the strength to reduce the deficit with Gabriel Borsatto, who rebounded a beautiful free kick from Samuel in the 40th minute. But it wasn't enough to avoid defeat.
