Under-16s defeat Botafogo in the Guilherme Embry Tournament

The red-and-black team wins at home and secures first place in the points race

Flamengo secured another victory in the Guilherme Embry Tournament, continuing the team's strong campaign in the competition. The Mais Querido under-16 boys, who are competing in the competition, got the better of Botafogo, defeating the black and white team 2-1 this past Tuesday (01.09), in Gávea. Matheus Marques and Matheus Thuler were responsible for the goals for the Rubro-Negro.

The team led by Márcio Torres, Gilmar Popoca's assistant coach in the under-17s, returns to the field next Tuesday (08.09), against Boavista, at Clube da Aeronáutica.
