Another final! Flamengo's U-16 team returned to the field on Thursday afternoon (15) and beat Palmeiras 2-1 in the semifinals of the Copa Gramado Laghetto, qualifying for the tournament final for the second year in a row. The goals for the red-black team were scored by Felipe Teresa and Luan Andrey. Mengão faces Internacional in the final and will defend its second championship title.

The game
The match began with the Boys from the Nest dominating possession and frequently attacking. In the 16th minute, Felipe Teresa took a corner kick from the right, and Victor headed dangerously. The red-and-black team effectively neutralized Palmeiras' attacking moves. They attacked well on the flanks but struggled with finishing.

Until the 30th minute, Mengão opened the scoring! Edmilson passed to Felipe Teresa on the left, who was well positioned and shot into the goalkeeper's right corner: 1-0. And before there was time to breathe, the second goal came!

In the 34th minute, Felipe Teresa made a good individual play inside the box and was brought down by the goalkeeper. The referee awarded the penalty. Luan Andrey stepped up to take the kick and scored his fourth goal of the tournament: 2-0. Having dominated the entire first half, the Mais Querido team went into halftime with a solid lead.

Early in the second half, Palmeiras pulled one back through Kauan Vitor, making it 2-1. The São Paulo team came back more aggressive and threatened the Flamengo goal more. Late in the game, Flamengo threatened the Flamengo goal again, creating a few opportunities. In the 34th minute, Schlickmann took a shot from outside the box, but the ball grazed the post.

And there was no time for anything else! Mengão held on for the victory and qualified for the tournament final.
