Flamengo's U-17s are defeated away from home in the U-17 Brasileirão
In a match against América-MG, the Garotos do Ninho were defeated 2-0, in a match marked by confusing refereeing
By Victor andrade - inFlamengo U-17 lost 2-0 to América-MG at SESC Alterosas in Minas Gerais on Wednesday morning. The match was part of the seventh round of the competition, and Flamengo remained with thirteen points. Depending on the results of the round, the team could be knocked out of the lead in Group B.
The goals were scored in the first half by Kauê França and Gustavo Ursino. However, the match was marred by confusing refereeing. In the first half alone, three Flamengo players received yellow cards, in addition to a disallowed goal. Later, striker Lorran was wrongly sent off, but the referee overturned the punishment after a warning from the fourth official.
The U-17 Ninho Boys return to Rio de Janeiro and begin preparations for the match against Audax, this Saturday (17), in Rio de Janeiro, for the eighth round of the Guanabara Cup. The next match for the Brasileirão in the category will be against Vasco, next Thursday, the 22nd.
