In a very balanced duel played on Tuesday afternoon (07) at Estádio das Alterosas, in Belo Horizonte, and valid for the fourth round of the Brazilian Championship, Flamengo's U-17 team, led by coach Phelipe Leal, drew 0-0 with América MG. The fair result, despite the strong red-black pressure in the final minutes and good missed goal chances, maintains the Garotos do Ninho's invincibility in the competition and makes them reach the provisional leadership of Group B, even with one game less, since the first round match against Grêmio will only be played on the 18th. Flamengo returns to the field on the 15th, when they host Vitória, in Gávea, at 15 pm.

Looking to maintain their 100% record in the championship, América threatened for the first time in the sixth minute. Lázaro made a beautiful individual play, passed two defenders, and passed to Jean Carlos. He saw Caio's fast pass perfectly, receiving the ball at the edge of the box and shooting hard, but over the Minas Gerais team's goal. From then on, América began to control possession and completely dominate the match until the end of the first half. América felt suffocated in their own half and tried their luck with long-range shots, such as Rodrigo's in the 17th minute, without posing any danger to the team's goalkeeper Bruno.

In the 24th minute, Marcos Felipe delivered a beautiful cross into the box. Lázaro connected first time, but the ball went too high. In the 37th minute, Caio delivered a good cross into the box. Lázaro narrowly missed it and slotted it home from inside the six-yard box to open the scoring. América had its two best chances just before halftime. In the 40th minute, after a corner kick, Bruno made a great save from close range. On the rebound, Carlos Alberto shot wide. The following minute, Carlos Alberto again made a beautiful individual play and tried to chip Bruno, but Otávio was alert and saved the Mais Querido, the last goal of the first half.

Early in the second half, goalkeeper Bruno shone again. First, with another excellent save from Guizão's header at close range. Then, he firmly held Thales's shot on the rebound. Five minutes in, the Mais Querido responded with a dangerous header from Lázaro, which glanced off Guilherme's right post. 

The game was very even, but in the final minutes, Flamengo imposed strong pressure despite playing away from home, and had its best chances to open the scoring. In the 42nd minute, after a cross, the ball went past Gabriel Borsatto and Lázaro unmarked inside the six-yard box, with the American goalkeeper already beaten. In the 45th minute, the ball went in after a header from Weverton. The referee, however, saw a foul by the Flamengo center forward on goalkeeper Guilherme and disallowed the goal that would have given the Mais Querido their third consecutive victory in the championship. 

In stoppage time, the last chance. Maycon took a free kick into the box, the goalkeeper cleared it, and after a rebound, the defense cleared it off the line. Weverton hit the rebound with his left foot, and the ball went wide of the Minas Gerais goal. In the end, despite the intense pressure from the red-and-blacks in the final minutes of the game, the 0-0 draw wasn't bad, as it keeps the Garotos do Ninho undefeated in the competition and provisionally top of Group B.
