Flamengo's Under-17 team took to the field this Monday afternoon (30) for the first leg of the semi-final of the Brazilian Championship in the category, against Athletico PR. Played at the Kleber Andrade Stadium, in Cariacica (ES), the duel was very balanced from the initial whistle to the last minute. Especially in the second half of the final stage, the Garotos do Ninho put a lot of pressure on their opponent in search of victory, even creating their final chance at 48 minutes of the second half. After the final whistle, the 0x0 draw kept the confrontation the same way it started, leaving the decision of the place in the final completely open for the return game, scheduled for next Monday (07.12) at 17 pm, in Curitiba. Before that, on Thursday (03.12), Mais Querido hosts Maranhão, at Gávea, in the first leg of the second phase of the Copa do Brasil.

The first half was very balanced, with no clear scoring chances for either team. In the 42nd minute, Flamengo created their best opportunity when Petterson was released at speed down the left wing, cut inside the box and unleashed a powerful shot that went just wide of Mycael's goal.

The game remained balanced in the second half, but Flamengo tried to attack in search of a goal and a victory. In the 14th minute, Petterson shot across goal and the ball went just wide of the Paraná team's post. In the 23rd minute, Cleiton stole the ball in the defensive midfield and passed to Petterson, who launched a fast counter-attack, got past the defenders and shot wide. 

The Flamengo youth team began to be more incisive in attack. At 25 minutes, Petterson tried again. This time, the ball went wide to the left of goalkeeper Mycael. At 38 minutes, Petterson tried to place a shot into the corner, but the ball went too high. Flamengo pressed until the end, and even created another chance at 48 minutes. Kayque Soares received the ball inside the area, shot low, but Mycael parried it for a corner. In the end, the 0-0 draw took the decision of the final to the second leg, in Curitiba.
