Under-17s draw first game of Rio Cup final with Botafogo 0-0

The red-black under-17 team drew the first game of the Rio Cup final. Playing in Gávea, on the morning of this Wednesday (16), Mais Querido drew 0-0 with Botafogo and will decide the title on Saturday (19), in a match that will be held at CEFAT, in Niterói. 

The duel started with a lively atmosphere, with both teams scrutinizing each other. In the 25th minute, Jhonata took a shot from outside the box, but the ball grazed the post. Marcos Felipe received the ball on the right in the 31st minute and attempted a low cross, but the defense cleared it for a corner.

In the second half, in the 28th minute, Ryan Luka unleashed a long-range shot, forcing the goalkeeper to make a good save. In a strong attacking move, Marcos Felipe flicked the ball onto Ryan Luka's head, but the ball went straight into the Botafogo number 1's hands.
