Flamengo's U-17 team enjoys having Vasco as an opponent. Six days after thrashing Vasco (RJ) 4-1 and winning their second Brazilian championship in the category, the Garotos do Ninho, led by multi-champion coach Mario Jorge, continue to delight the Red-Black Nation. This Sunday (22) night, the Red-Black team crossed the country to face Vasco, this time from Acre, in the debut of the U-17 Brazil Cup. Starting the fight for their second title in the national competition, Mengão showed that they are also very strong to win this tournament, and won by an incredible 12-0 (Victor Hugo [3], Matheus França [2], Mateusão ​​[2], Vitor Muller, Petterson, Matheus Gonçalves, Darlan and Rian Alencar [own]). In the second phase of the competition, Flamengo will face Gama, from the Federal District, in a home and away match.

The two-time Brazilian champions came out on the field with a very attacking approach, looking to win the match in the first half. Three minutes in, Matheus Gonçalves crossed into the box, and Diego Clemente fired a first-time shot over goalkeeper Paiva's crossbar. On the second opportunity, Mengão opened the scoring. Seven minutes in, Petterson crossed, and Vitor Muller appeared perfectly positioned at the penalty spot, heading the ball past Paiva.
