Flamengo qualified for the next stage of the Taça BH with a resounding victory. The team thrashed Chapecoense 5-0, with goals from Antônio and Matheus Iacovelli (4), and secured a spot in the second stage, leading Group 7. The championship features groups of five teams, with the top two teams at the end of the first stage qualifying.
Flamengo has been champion of the Taça BH three times, in 1986, 2003 and 2007, reaching six finals (1990, 1999 and 2012).
