Despite starting the game better and taking the lead with Yuri, Mais Querido ended up defeated 4-1, and now needs a 3-0 victory in next week's game, in Rio de Janeiro, to qualify for the final of the national competition. The CBF has not yet defined the date and time of the match.

Palmeiras started the match better and had their first chance to score in the 8th minute. Yuri took a free kick, and the ball went very close to Magrão's goal. In the 19th minute, defender Willian misplaced the ball to the goalkeeper. Vitor Gabriel believed in the play until the end, got there before the goalkeeper, and won the penalty. Yuri struck powerfully and opened the scoring for the Boys of the Nest. Palmeiras reached the first opportunity in the 24th minute and tied the game. Guilherme Vieira received the ball at the edge of the box and hit a powerful cross that left Victor Hugo with no chance to save.
In the 27th minute, Flamengo threatened again. Ramón made a good play down the left wing and crossed for Yuri, who headed wide. But it was Palmeiras again who turned the tide. In the 32nd minute, in another defensive blunder, Guilherme struck hard, into the corner, turning the game for the green-and-white team. In the 35th minute, Marcus made a good individual play and shot, but Victor Hugo made a solid save. In the 43rd minute, the Rubro-Negro team formed a strong triangulation with Vitor Gabriel, Braian, and Vitor Ricardo, who hit a cross that threatened the Palmeiras goal.
The São Paulo team came back stronger in the second half, hitting the post in the 8th minute with a Patrick header. In the 15th minute, Luan battled the defense, won the ball, and fired a shot that blew away Magrão's goal and nearly tied the game for the Mais Querido. In the 19th minute, Palmeiras scored the third, again through Guilherme Vieira, with a bomb from the edge of the box that hit Victor Hugo's top corner, but he was unable to stop it. The Rubro-Negro tried to press, but Palmeiras added the fourth with Marcus, with another bomb that hit Victor Hugo's top corner in the 31st minute.
Needing to at least close the deficit for the return leg in Rio de Janeiro, Flamengo went all out. In the 32nd minute, Ari launched a shot, and Luan narrowly missed getting there before goalkeeper Magrão, who managed to smother it and make the save. The "Garotos do Ninho" fought back, but failed to create many scoring chances and will go into the return leg having to overturn a three-goal deficit.
