U-17 loses to Vasco 2-0 and finishes second in the Campeonato Carioca

In the second leg of the Carioca Sub-17 final, Flamengo lost to Vasco 2-0 on Friday morning (11), in São Januário. With the result, Rubro-Negro finished the competition in second place.

The game
The derby started with a lively atmosphere, with Vasco pushing forward more in the opening minutes. Gradually, Flamengo began to get the ball back on the ground and began to dominate the attacking half. The game was quite tight, with little room for attacking play.

In the 29th minute, after a corner kick from the left, Wallace Yan rose above the defense and headed dangerously. The ball hit the post. In the final minutes of the first half, Vasco opened the scoring with Rayan, a quick move: 1-0.

In the second half, the game remained evenly matched. The Nest Boys pushed forward but struggled to find a goal. At 22', Vasco extended the lead with a penalty from GB: 2-0. Fla tried to make up for the deficit, but was unable to reverse the result and finished as runners-up.
