By Ian Sena - inAfter the U-20 team defeated FlaxFlu 1-0 and once again eliminated their rival from the State Championship, it was Flamengo's U-17 team's turn to take the field this Saturday afternoon (June 24.06) in Gávea to face the same opponent in a single match valid for the semifinal of the Guanabara Cup in that category. In a very close game, the Garotos do Ninho won 2-1 (Yuri and Vitor Gabriel), repeating the score of the victory achieved in the qualifying phase of the first round, further increasing their supremacy over Fluminense in all youth soccer categories and securing a spot in the competition final undefeated. Now, the Mais Querido awaits the definition of their opponent, which will come from the duel between Vasco and Botafogo, who face each other on Monday.
The derby was fiercely contested from the start. In the fourth minute, after a free kick hit the wall, the ball fell to Matheus Alves, who fired a first-time shot that was well saved by goalkeeper Iago. In the 4th minute, Vitor Gabriel outmuscled the defender and fired a shot that the goalkeeper easily saved. In the 30th minute, Marx delivered a beautiful pass, and midfielder Yuri calmly tapped it past the goalkeeper and opened the scoring for the Garotos do Ninho. In the 34rd minute, Yuri again received the ball at the edge of the box, controlled it with his chest, and fired a shot. The ball sailed dangerously close to the left post of the Tricolor goal. In stoppage time, the referee awarded a penalty for a casual play in the Red-Black box, and Samuel equalized the game.

In the 9th minute, Flamengo nearly scored their second. Following a corner kick, Henrique rose higher than the defense and headed dangerously, but the ball went just wide of the post. In the 12th minute, they came even closer to a second, with a superb finish from Wendel, whose shot was deflected over the goal.
