Under-17s have four players called up to the Brazilian National Team

Flamengo has the highest number of related players, alongside Atlético-MG

After being called up several times to the Brazilian U-15 national team in 2015, Vinicius Junior, Lincoln Correa, Wesley David, and Patrick Souza were once again selected to play for the Brazilian national team. Now in the U-17 category, the red-and-blacks are among the 23 players selected by coach Carlos Amadeu. The players will train at Granja Comary, in Teresópolis, in the mountainous region of Rio de Janeiro, from May 15th to 20th.

In 2015, with the U-15 national team, the Mais Querido quartet won the South American Championship in November. In March, the boys participated in the World Cup triumph in Montaigu, France, and in June, they won the Quadrangular Championship in Venezuela. Wearing the Sacred Mantle, Vinicius, Lincoln, Wesley, and Patrick won the Copa do Brasil Infantil.

For the 2016 Carioca Championship, Flamengo's under-17 team takes to the field next Saturday (14), against Vasco da Gama, at 11 am, in São Januário.
