Even playing with a very modified team, as they had mathematically guaranteed their classification for the quarterfinals of the Brazilian Under-17 Championship in the last round, the Garotos do Ninho of the Under-17 team, currently led by assistant coach Leonardo Ramos, knew how to impose themselves from the initial whistle and achieved a 2-1 victory (Rayan Lucas and Daniel Campos) over Vitória, in a match played on Tuesday afternoon (10), at Barradão. 

With another positive result, Mais Querido finishes the first phase of the competition with 16 points, in fourth place in Group B, and remains in the fight for the second national championship. In the quarterfinals, Flamengo will face Palmeiras. The first leg will be on Wednesday (18), at 15 pm, in Gávea. And the return leg will be at Allianz Parque, in São Paulo, on Sunday (22) at 14 pm.

Flamengo sought to assert itself from the start and created the game's first scoring chance. Just five minutes in, Daniel Campos crossed to Jean Sales, but the ball was a bit too powerful and went over the Bahia goal, going out over the goal line. Vitória opened the scoring shortly after, seven minutes in, with Felipe. 

The Mais Querido (Most Beloved) went in search of an equalizer and began to press. In the 21st minute, Werton hit a cross that was well saved by goalkeeper Ryan. In the 25th minute, it was Rayan Lucas's turn to shoot from outside the box. The ball deflected off the defense and went out for a corner. In the 38th minute, Luis Felipe challenged the defense, and the ball fell into the hands of goalkeeper Ryan. In the final moments of the first half, Mengão equalized and turned the game around. In the 46th minute, Arthur Augusto took a corner, defender Cleiton headed the ball toward the middle of the box, and Rayan Lucas headed it twice to level the score at Barradão. In the 49th minute, Daniel Campos struck from inside the six-yard box to put the Garotos do Ninho in front.

In the second half, the Rubro-Negro managed their lead without any scares, and they were well on the attack looking for a third. And it almost came in the 15th minute, when Werton fired a beautiful shot from the edge of the box. Goalkeeper Ryan made the save. In the 28th minute, Werton tried again from the edge of the box, but Ryan made another save. Vitória only threatened in the 41st minute, with a powerful shot from Hugo. Francisco Dyogo flew beautifully and made a spectacular save. The ball then hit the crossbar. Flamengo secured its fifth victory in the Brazilian Championship.
