In a match played on Saturday afternoon (12), in Gávea, Flamengo's U-17 team, led by coach Mário Jorge, thrashed América MG 4-0 (Matheus França [2], Victor Hugo and Matheus Gonçalves), maintained their 100% record in a perfect campaign after six rounds and, in addition, mathematically guaranteed their classification for the quarterfinals of the Brazilian Championship, with three rounds to go. Isolated leader of Group A with 18 points won in six games and owner of the best campaign by far in the Brasileirão, the Garotos do Ninho return to the field next Saturday (19), when they visit Atlético GO at 15 pm, in Goiânia.

Flamengo started pressing and looking for a goal from the opening whistle. Just four minutes in, Dudu crossed, and Pedro Turini narrowly missed scoring with a header. In the 13th minute, Dudu back-heeled the ball, and Matheus França fired a low shot, which goalkeeper Eduardo made a solid save. In the 20th minute, Matheus Gonçalves made a beautiful individual play and passed to Matheus França, who was brought down inside the box.
